For 2006 Tim moved to a pair of the new Ferrari F430 GTC cars with Virgo in the Le Mans Series and JMB-GruppeM in the FIA Championship. Pole positions and wins were achieved in both series with Tim also contesting Le Mans in a Ferrari 550 GT1 car.
2007 brought another Championship win driving for GruppeM in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA). In addition Tim contested many of the major GT races in Europe and America, including Daytona, Spa and Sebring.
In 2008 Tim again contested all the major GT races, including Daytona, Sebring, Le Mans, Spa 24 and LMS. Tim also took guest drives in Grand-Am and FIA, all this in addition to another year of Porsche Cup Asia where he finished 3rd in the series.
In 2009 Tim contested another year of the Asian Cup, plus all the major GT races including Le Mans in June with JMW Motorsport. He also competed at the Rolex Daytona 24 Hour race for J.Lowe Racing. The year ended with Tim coming runner up in the Porsche Asia Cup, missing First by just one point!
2010 sees Tim contesting all the major GT races,and once again driving for JMW Motorsport at Le Mans. In addition he will drive for Thunder Asia in the Japanese GT Championship.
In addition to driving, Tim has always been involved in other aspects of the sport. Running his own team from 1999 to 2005, Tim Sugden Motorsport contested Vauxhall Junior, Formula Ford, Formula Renault, British GT, and the Clio Cup. Along the way, victories were gained in all categories including taking the overall 2001 Clio Cup Championship.
Driver management began in 2001 with James Walker and Tim now looks after the careers of several drivers, from up and coming superstars to established professionals.
Add to this a ten year period of running the bearacingdriver.com scholarship from 1997 to 2007 and it illustrates that Tim really has been involved in all facets of this wonderful sport.
